Alnico rectangular bar magnets / Alnico rectangular rod magnet
The Alnico rectangular bar magnets are made from Alnico 2 and Alnico 5 grade materials. They are also known as alnico rectangular rod magnets and alnico bar magnets.
They can be used at temperatures of up to +550 degrees C. They are termed bar magnets because the distance between the poles is greater than the pole face dimensions (i.e. they are magnetised in the same direction as their longest dimension).
The Alnico rectangular bar magnets are supplied in painted (red colour) or natural finish (uncoated, unpainted). They are popular for sensing applications and for experimental use in schools.
